The concert begins at 8pm with a reception with refreshments at Fountainhall Church Centre 7-7.45pm. Giving the recital will be Dr John P Kitchen MBE.

Wee String School

Friday 8 December, 7pm, Sanctuary at the Stocket

If you'd like to come and hear wonderful pupils of Wee String School, the concert will start at 7pm. It's sure to be filled with lots of festive treats!! Entry is free (donations welcome!)

Bon Accord Silver Band 

Sunday 10 December, 3pm and 7pm, Sanctuary at the Stocket

Please join us for a special Children's Christmas Concert featuring music and carols for our "younger" members at 3pm. All welcome and Kids are optional for an afternoon of music and singing. Festive clothing very much welcomed!!!

Experience the absolute best Christmas concert in Aberdeen, with the Bon-Accord Silver Bands. The bands will be performing a mixture of traditional and modern Christmas classics and there will be plenty of opportunity for you to sing along to your favourite carols. 

The Bon-Accord Silver Band, and the Bon-Accord Silver 'B' Band will be filling Fountainhall Church at the Stocket with festive joy and that warm fuzzy feeling of Christmas. Mince pies and mulled wine will be available at the interval and will once again be included in your ticket price. 

We hope to see you all there again this year - you can wear your favourite Christmas jumper if you wish!

Maggie's Christmas Carol Concert at the Stocket

Join us at annual Christmas Carol Concert for a fabulous evening of festive fun! This year we will be joined by the wonderful St Margaret's school choir, Granite City Chorus and Albacappella. Guests can enjoy refreshments, readings, carols, and wonderful performances from the choirs – this is the perfect event to get you feeling festive!

Business Community Carols Service at the Cross

Wednesday 13 December, 12.30 pm, Sanctuary at the Cross

Followed by tea, coffee and mince pies in the main hall at the Cross (Albyn Place).

To get into the Christmas Spirit, join us at Fountainhall at the Cross for a carol service especially thought for the business community with live music by the Grammar School Band. 

After the service, we will welcome you in the main hall for a tea/coffee and some mince pies. The perfect festive time to meet other members of the business community!

Carols round the Tree at the Cross

Friday 15 December, 6 pm, forecourt in Fountainhall at the Cross (Queen's Cross roundabout). 

Join us on Friday 16 December around the giant Christmas tree outside the church's forecourt where we will sing our hearts out. 

To keep us warm and in tune, our good friends of Cognito will provide hot chocolate for everyone. 

So bring your family and friends for some music and hot chocolate to get into the Christmas Spirit. 

Community Christmas Carol Singing at the Stocket

Sunday 17 December from 5pm, Church Gardens

Everybody loves to sing carols around Christmas time. It doesn't matter whether you are a regular church goer, or occasional, or you just love to sing carols.  Community Christmas Carol Singing in the Church Gardens with members of The Granite City Brass Band. Mince pies and festive refreshments will be served. So come and join us. 

Beer and Carols at the Dutch Mill Hotel

Tuesday 19 December, 6 pm, The Dutch Mill Hotel (Queen's Road)

Join us for some fun and song at 'the Dutcher'. On the evening of Tuesday 19 December, we will meet at The Dutch Mill Hotel to sing some Christmas songs and to share some Christmas festivities over a beer or a glass of wine as we raise some funds for the charity Instant Neighbour. Come and join us, it is sure to be great fun! 

Moonlight Sonata at Christmas by Candlelight

Wednesday 20 December, 6 pm, Sanctuary at the Cross

Enjoy an outstanding musical evening in the days before Christmas with a breathtaking programme of Romantic piano masterpieces in the stunning candlelit setting of Fountainhall Hall Church at the Cross (previously Queen's Cross Church) in Aberdeen. Featuring renowned concert pianist, Warren Mailley-Smith, the programme includes Beethoven's iconic Moonlight Sonata and other outstanding works by greats such as Debussy, Liszt and Chopin. This will be a festive concert to remember and there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby to complete your night.

In 2016 Warren Mailley-Smith became the first British pianist to perform Chopin's complete works for solo piano from memory in a series of 11 recitals at St John's Smith Square. Hailed by the critics as an "epic achievement", Mailley-Smith will repeat the series at several venues in 2022.

He has given acclaimed solo recitals at The Wigmore Hall, Carnegie Hall and has performed for the British Royal Family on numerous occasions. One of the busiest concert pianists of his generation and gave over 100 solo performances in 2021.

The Piccadilly Sinfonietta

Since its formation in 2017, the Piccadilly Sinfonietta have become a regular feature on the UK concert scene, giving up to 100 performances a year in some of the country’s most beautiful and prestigious venues. The ensemble comprises some of the most prodigious musical talent and performs exclusively with leading virtuoso soloists. The group performs under the artistic direction of its founder, concert pianist Warren Mailley-Smith and focuses on the virtuoso concerto repertoire of the baroque, classical and early romantic periods.
