Lively Minds

LIVELY MINDS AT THE CROSS

Every first and third Tuesday of the month, Noon to 1.30pm, Main Hall at the Cross (Albyn Place, previously Queen's Cross Church)

Lively Minds provides a programme of events involving presentations from invited speakers from a diverse range of subjects and topics, all presented in an accessible and engaging manner.

Meetings take place in the Main Hall at Fountainhall at the Cross (previously Queen's Cross Church) and it is open to everyone. We start with a sandwich lunch and tea/coffee at noon followed by one hour presentation from around 12.30 pm until 1.30pm. £5 entry which includes lunch.

NEXT MEETING:

Living through History

with Lorna McIntosh and the music of The Melting Pot

About the talk and our speaker guest...

Lorna McIntosh will be presenting her talk Living through History, followed by the music of The Melting Pot.

Lorna has always been interested in history and current affairs. However, ageing has made her realise that those current affairs have, indeed, become history. In ‘Living Through History’, she recalls some historic dates and events from her own lifetime.  Perhaps, you remember them too.

We will also be joined by the Melting Pot Musical Collective who will perform music and songs related to Lorna's presentation.

The Melting Pot Collective fusion band is a very large collective of musicians performing all styles of music. We have over 100 performing members locally in the Aberdeen area, and hundreds of members in every continent except Antarctica, and certainly in virtually every country in Europe. The band is multicultural and intergenerational.

Join us at noon in the main hall at Fountainhall at the Cross (Albyn Place, formerly Queen's Cross) for a sandwich lunch before the talk.

PLEASE CONFIRM ATTENDANCE IN ADVANCE
